How to Make Kegel Exercises More Effective for Pelvic Health?

Kegel exercises are helpful, but let's be real—if you're dealing with prolapse, postpartum recovery, or bladder leaks (especially as you get older), Kegels alone often aren't enough. The good news? Combining them with the right support can lead to much faster, more complete healing.

While Kegels strengthen pelvic muscles, they don't address:

  • Weak bones that muscles attach to (a big issue after menopause or multiple pregnancies)
  • Damaged or dry tissues that need healing
  • Loss of vaginal elasticity

That's where NeuEve's KegelBoost Kit makes all the difference. It's designed to work with your Kegel routine to accelerate results and many women see improvement in just 2-3 months compared to 6+ months with exercises alone.

1. Kegel Exercises (Pelvic Floor Therapy)

Kegels strengthen pelvic muscles that support your organs, improving tone and circulation to help prevent prolapse. But they only address part of the problem. Weak muscles often come with thinning bones and damaged tissues that Kegels can't fix - like trying to repair a sagging tent by just tightening the ropes while ignoring weak poles and torn fabric. This explains why many women, especially after multiple pregnancies or menopause, still struggle despite doing Kegels. The bones and tissues need support too

2. Bone Support Supplements
Your pelvic muscles need strong bones to anchor to. These supplements provide:

  • Calcium and vitamin D3 to combat osteoporosis
  • Magnesium to help muscles function properly
  • Zinc for tissue repair

3. Silk Vaginal Suppositories
These nutrient-rich suppositories help where Kegels can't by:

  • Moisturizing and healing vaginal tissues
  • Reducing inflammation with organic oils
  • Improving elasticity for better muscle function

4.  Soothing Salve Balm
For external comfort and healing, this cream:

  • Calms irritated skin with chamomile and plantain oils
  • Promotes circulation to support recovery
  • Works in harmony with your internal care

Prolapse alternative
NeuEve Silver
I have a pelvic prolapse and also the bad strain of HPV, and need a pessary for the prolapse. My OBGYN wanted me to take hormones, and I won’t. I’m not taking any hormones with HPV. This has been a fantastic alternative to hormones.
Silk for bladder prolapse

I used the product for a couple of months. I knew it would take time. But after that, I stopped. My bladder was still falling down into my vagina. The product is not going to put a prolapse back into place, I told myself. But when I stopped, I noticed things got worse. I went back on as soon as I could. It must thicken and strengthen the vaginal wall over time! I do exercises as well (including hypopressives) to improve the condition.

NeuEve Silk, balm cream
When I started Silk sensitive, I was also weaning off of hormone cream. Also, using Balm and then adding Sea Buckthorn oil. There have been no adverse side effects with any NeuEve products. The balm is soothing. I have moved up to regular Silk and had no issues. It will take time and patience since I am 78, have vaginal atrophy, and a slight *bladder prolapse*. There has been much improvement with bladder issues because of Pelvic Health P.T. I especially appreciate the source of information and education that is available on the NeuEve blog, FB group, and on the main site. The response of the team to all my questions is amazing. I have learned so much; thank you!

Two months on NeuEve Silk
I was diagnosed with a prolapsed bladder. I didn't try or have a pessary or anything done because I am 72 years old and had a hysterectomy at the age of 33 years old! Done with all that! So my doctor recommended physical therapy! So I went and I read up on NeuEve and asked my therapist about it! So I am now 2 months in and using silk twice a week and doing my pelvic exercises! nd so far so good! I'm going to switch to silver soon! I can't wait to go back to see my therapist in February! He is very interested in this product!
Three to four months on NeuEve Silk

I am 72 with a **prolapsed bladder**! I have been using silk for about 3 or 4 months now, and there have been no problems at all! My bladder has receded, and I'm doing my exercises! A lot of Kegels! But noticing the difference! I do not want surgery so I am committed to this! Faithfull,y Monday and Thursday! I will be switching to silver soon! I had a hysterectomy at 33 years old! So I guess I am lucky not to have had problems before this!
Five months on NeuEve Silk
I am thrilled with this product! I have been using it for 5 months now, every Monday and Thursday! Silk! **My prolapse has definitely improved!** I had a hysterectomy at 33 and now I am 72! I highly recommend! I also do pelvic exercises! Mostly Kegels!

IT REALLY WORKS, EVEN FOR BLADDER PROLAPSE!!!!
Excellent product about this.
I was diagnosed 2.5 months ago with Bladder Prolapse. My gynecologist recommended Estrogen suppositories for 3 months to strengthen the area inside. He said that without estrogen, surgery would surely fail.
Well, having had Breast Cancer 2.5 years ago, I was worried about using Estrogen.
I scouted online for a natural alternative and found NeuEve. I saw that people got quicker results doubling up on the monthly box of Silk. 2 boxes of Silk per month + the Cream every other night, and this was so much cheaper than Estrogen, not to mention healthier for me.
To my surprise and delight, I can honestly say that I am seeing a 50% - 60% improvement so far. I'm hoping that another 2 months on this product will cure this, and I will no longer require the surgery at all. TRY IT!!!!

NeuEve Silk and recovery of prolapse
I'm very pleased with NeuEve Silk! I am 57 years old, very active, and I strength train/lift weights 4 to 5 days a week and ride my own motorcycle, so this condition caught me by surprise.
I felt my bladder dropping, and this was very disconcerting. I spoke to my doctor about it and got some information about a condition called a **prolapsed bladder**. Hormones and surgery were really my only options, and neither was very appealing to me. After doing some research, I decided to try NeuEve Silk. The price is fairly reasonable, and the all-natural ingredients are a major win.
I’ve been using the Silk suppositories twice a week for 6 weeks. I believe it’s helping, because the day after I use it, I don’t feel the drop in my bladder at all. However, by the time 3 days go by, I start to feel it drop again. I’m hoping that after 3 to 4 months, it will be back in position. I will continue to use this product consistently for 6 months and will leave another review. So far, I am very pleased.
Commit to 2 applications a week. Consistency is absolutely necessary.

Works fast
Debbie

Began using this after months of terrible offensive fish odor. Developed a prolapsed bladder and had some unpleasant discharge. The Silk has really helped my condition. The product is too expensive for me to use continually, so I'm not sure if this condition will return when I stop using it. Time will tell.

NeuEve products
Natalie

Hello ladies, I'm writing this review with the hopes of helping other women with complex issues similar to mine, and who are skeptical of whether NeuEve products would help. My case is complicated. I have had recurring UTIs since I was 17 years old, mixed with BV and yeast infections after each treatment. It was like going in circles. I think I had CV as well. I have also been struggling with *pelvic organ prolapse* since I was 27, before my hysterectomy, and up until now. I switched between several doctors, but finally, I gave up. Now, I'm 50, and I feel much better than I did even in my 20s. I'm doing several effective treatments to cure my various problems, and NeuEve products are definitely one of the keys to my improvement. I used the silk suppositories and cream for almost 6 months to get stable results. I moved on to silver, and the results are even better. I would like to happily share several points from my experience: 1) I used silk every 3 days because I couldn't handle going 4 days. 2) The cream is a real healing miracle, even though I underestimated it before trying. 3) I had some burning sensations in the morning or during the day after the suppository insertion. I just washed the outer area with water and then applied the cream. This helped with the side effect. 4) Even though I understood that it was the right product and was temporarily relieved right after the first suppository, it took almost 6 months to get stable results. I want to remind you that my case is very complicated, and I was skeptical when I started. 5) I used all the supplements recommended by Dr. Renjie Chang on the NeuEve website, and they are very helpful as well.. I wish I could have started them earlier, in my perimenopause. 6) The support received from the NeuEve team and Dr. Chang was better than that from the doctors previously. They patiently and thoughtfully answered all of my questions by email, and I appreciated it a lot. Thank you so much for creating these amazing products. They helped me dramatically improve my quality of life, and I hope it will help many other women!
