Study of Iners-Clear for Clearing Lactobacillus iners-related Vaginosis

What is L. iners-related Vaginosis?

L. iners-related vaginosis (LV)  is a vaginal dysbiosis characterized by symptoms such as vaginal odor, discharge, burning, and irritation. These symptoms are similar to those of bacterial vaginosis (BV), but typical treatments for BV, such as metronidazole, are often ineffective. The vaginal microbiome lab test shows that the dominant bacterium is Lactobacillus iners. While the exact cause is unknown, it is believed to be linked to an imbalance in the vaginal microbiome. Unlike BV, which is dominated by anaerobic bacteria, LV is dominated by the Lactobacillus species, L. iners. This condition is becoming increasingly recognized due to the availability of vaginal microbiome tests based on the cutting-edge next-generation sequencing (NGS) technology.

Why LV Can Be Hard to Treat

LV can be difficult to treat because Lactobacillus iners is closely related to the “good” Lactobacillus bacteria that normally protect the vagina. This makes it harder to target without disrupting the healthy balance. Another challenge is that L. iners may hide in places like the bladder, or even in a partner’s bladder, and later come back after treatment. Many common BV treatments, such as metronidazole, do not work well against LV. Even trying multiple antibiotics often does not fully clear it. This is why symptoms can return again and again. Right now, there are no consistently reliable treatments specifically made for LV. NeuEve AV Clear is one of the only products that has helped many women find relief. However, results can vary, and some women may need repeated treatment cycles, which can increase both the cost and the time it takes to feel better.

What is Iners-Clear?

Iners-Clear is a vaginal suppository designed to clear L. iners-related vaginosis. Made with natural, food-grade ingredients, it contains carefully selected nutrients, including vitamins, minerals, and herbal supplements.

Study Details

  • Eligibility: Women with LV, aged 18–70, who are otherwise healthy (no cancer, organ transplants, pregnancy, or breastfeeding) and reside in the U.S.
  • Cost: A $120 deposit is required to ensure study completion. One pack of Iners-Clear costs $82 for 6 suppositories, and 1 bottle of Vaginal Probiotic costs $38. After completing the study and submitting feedback plus an after-treatment microbiome test from the same lab from which you got the first test, you will be refunded $120, making the net product cost zero.
  • Diagnosis: Participants must have a diagnosis of LV based on the lab test report showing Lactobacillus iners dominance.
  • Tracking: Record daily symptom changes in a journal using a few words with a simple template table.
  • Study Duration: 12 days. Insert an Iners-Clear suppository on the first day and insert a Vaginal Probiotic capsule the next day, and repeat it 6 times for a total of 12 days.
  • Product Use: Use only the new product Iners-Clear and the NeuEve brand Vaginal Probiotic capsules for the study to clear LV. However, if you are taking meds for other conditions like diabetes, hypertension, or arthritis, you may continue using them. For clearing the vaginal LV condition, you must use Iners-Clear and the NeuEve brand Vaginal Probiotic, not other vaginal care products.
  • Benefits of Joining: You may have the opportunity to clear stubborn LV at no cost when other treatments have failed. If it doesn’t work the first time, you can join additional rounds of the study for free until your LV symptoms subside. By participating, you’ll help develop the first natural product dedicated to LV relief and contribute to advancing women's health.
  • Sign Up: We are accepting 10 volunteers on a first-come, first-served basis. If interested, email us at help@neueve.com.
