When should I use NeuEve suppository before I can have sex? The day before or an hour before? Could you give me a more detailed instruction on when I should use it?
Based on customers’ feedback, there may be three situations:
- Can still have sex, but feel like sandpaper (dryness). Use NeuEve Balm Cream once a day for a week will give you good relief from dryness. Then, using the balm cream for 30 minutes to 1 hour before having sex usually works well. The balm cream is not a lube; it is a highly efficient moisturizer. You use just a tiny bit to the exterior vulva (not more than a dime size). Overapplication can cause burning and irritation. For the suppository, it works best 1-2 days after each application. We recommend waiting for at least 1 day before having intimacy. This is written on the package box. The reason is twofold. One is to allow the tissue time to absorb nutrients. The other is to avoid possible irritation to the partner. After waiting for 1 day, most of the suppository ingredients are absorbed or expelled. It will not cause irritation to the partner. If a woman has used NeuEve routinely for at least 1 - 4 months, she can have sex at any time like a young woman after the product is absorbed (cream after 30 minutes; suppository after 1 day).
- Have sex with pain (dyspareunia) or cannot have sex. This means atrophy has occurred. Using just one NeuEve suppository is not enough to reverse the atrophy. It will require the use of NeuEve continuously for 1-4 months before recovery. Please be patient to allow NeuEve to work for you for a few weeks. You can test for readiness by inserting 1-3 fingers.
- Vaginal muscle spasm when having sex (vaginismus). These women might have slight atrophy, but painful sex causes muscle memory. One customer had vaginismus and could not have sex for 3 years. She tried many things (estrogen, moisturizer, and lubes) without luck. She used 3 NeuEve suppositories and felt self-lubricating like a young woman. Her love life hits the roof.
In summary, if you are in the first situation, use NeuEve for at least one week and then use the cream 30 minutes or suppository one night before having sex (24 hours) may be the best. Also, since the individual case is different, you can experiment with NeuEve and find the best application method for yourself. Since the product is made with safe and food-grade natural ingredients, there is no harmful effect for you using it often. However, the ingredients of the NeuEve suppository may cause sensitivity to your partner if inserted immediately before sex. If you insert it at least 1 day before having sex, there will be no problem.

Why do I need to add the NeuEve cream to the suppository?
The NeuEve Vulva Balm Cream is very user-friendly. You can use it daily and it may be best to apply the cream to the vulva about 30 minutes before having sex.
